SCS Tech (“we”, “us”, or “our”) operates the MFB Field App (the “App”). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices available to you.
By installing or using the App, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please uninstall the App and do not use it.

2.1 Location data (essential)
When you start tracking, the App collects precise location data, including:
- Real-time GPS coordinates (latitude and longitude)
- Speed, heading / bearing, and location accuracy
- Timestamps of location updates
- Background / continuous location while a trip is active (foreground service)
2.2 Device and operational data
- Battery level (to support operational awareness)
- Device permissions state related to location and notifications
- App / trip status (for example, whether tracking is active)
2.3 Account / session information
- Vehicle ID used to sign in and identify the tracked vehicle
- Local session preferences stored on the device (for example, remembered login)
The App is intended for assigned operational use. It is not a consumer social app and is not designed to collect unnecessary personal profiles.
2.4 Information we do not intentionally collect
- Payment or financial card details
- Contacts, SMS, or call logs
- Photos, microphone, or camera content (unless a future feature clearly requests permission and discloses use)

4. How data is shared
4.1 Operational sharing
During authorized use, tracking data may be available to:
- Mumbai Fire Brigade / MFB command and authorized supervisors
- Internal fleet / operations dashboards used for live monitoring
- Other public-safety partners when required for incident response
4.2 Service providers
We use trusted processors to run the App, which may include:
- Google Firebase (for example, Realtime Database / related cloud services) to store and sync live and historical tracking points
- Map / location platform providers used to display or process map-related features
- Device OS services (Android / Google Play services) for location and notifications
These providers process data on our instructions and for the purposes described in this policy.
4.3 Legal disclosure
We may disclose information if required to:
- Comply with applicable law, regulation, or lawful requests
- Protect public safety, rights, or security
- Investigate misuse, fraud, or security incidents
5. Data storage and security
Tracking data is transmitted to and stored on cloud infrastructure used by the App (including Firebase). We apply reasonable technical and organizational measures such as encrypted transport (HTTPS/TLS), access controls, and least-privilege operational access.
No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. Authorized users should protect device access (screen lock, account credentials) and stop tracking when a trip ends.
6. Data retention
- Live location: overwritten / updated while tracking is active; retained as needed for operational visibility
- Trip history points: retained for operational review and incident documentation as required by the organization
- Local device preferences: until cleared by the user or app uninstall
Where law or organizational policy requires longer retention of emergency / operational records, those requirements take precedence.
7. Your choices and rights
7.1 Permissions
- You can grant or revoke location, notification, and related permissions in Android settings
- Denying location permission prevents the App from performing live tracking
- Background / continuous location is used only for active operational trips
7.2 Access, correction, and deletion
Authorized personnel may request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal data associated with their use of the App, subject to operational, legal, and public-safety retention obligations. Contact us using the details below.
8. Children’s privacy
The App is for authorized adult operational personnel only. It is not directed to children under 13 (or under the minimum age required by local law), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
9. International processing
Cloud providers may process data in data centers outside your state or country. Where cross-border transfers occur, we rely on appropriate contractual and technical safeguards offered by those providers and our configuration of the service.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the App after an update means you accept the revised policy, unless applicable law requires additional notice or consent.
